March 28th is the big day/evening! The theme of the evening is Hawaiian paradise. The Steller gym will be transformed (with your help) into a beautiful oasis of warmth. Bring by your surfboards, lei’s, Hawaii themed posters and billboards, sarongs, themed shirts, even music and such like, We need them all - (temporarily of course). Contact Nina or leave a message with Julie or Danyiele (742-4950) in the office.

Please also be part of the effort by bringing a plate of your favorite appetizer/finger food to Steller on Friday, March 28th. There’s nothing quite like good food to encourage socializing and competitive bidding! Drop off your appetizer to share throughout the day at a convenient time for you.
The most important effort on your part is to come and enjoy all the festivities, make bids on the many, many glorious items. There are airline gift certificates, an Alaskan getaway package, $500 gift certificate to Allure Day Spa, a brand new Thule, and lots of wonderful artwork.

Auction preview is at 5:30 pm. Hawaiian Dancers perform at 6PM.

The auction has been moved to Friday, March 28th. This will allow more time
for planning and gathering donations. We still needed donations (artwork, gift certificates, services, airline tickets, etc.) We also need parents and students to help gather those donations and help with the auction.

A fund raising opportunity for Steller students is happening this weekend!   Shop at either location of Title Wave and have your purchases wrapped by Steller students.  Shannon’s Cgroup will be Downtown, Spain trip Intenstive students will be Midtown.  All tips go towards their fund raising efforts.

In 2006/2007 school year, we had 77 families contribute a total of $6485. In 2005/2006 school year, we had 68 families contribute $6350. Currently we have 82 families contributing $6105.

HOW MANY FAMILIES DO WE HAVE?

We have approximately 250 families in the Steller community.
If 250 families donated $50 each, we could potentially have $12,500 to give back to our Steller community. Please help!

Steller parent group is requesting a minimum donation of $50 per student, but if that is not possible please contribute what you can.

Don’t forget to stop by Barnes & Noble THIS Sunday, December 2nd for the Steller Spain Trip Bookfair!!

Holiday shopping this weekend? If you mention Steller during checkout, a portion of your proceeds will go to helping Steller students travel to Spain.

FREE Gift Wrapping available from 9 am to 9 pm. Any donations will also go to the travel fund.

BRING YOUR FAMILY: From 1 – 6 p.m., Steller Spain Club students will be offering a variety of fun for kids. Games from 1-2 p.m., Face Painting from 2-3 p.m., Storytime from 3-4 p.m., and more Face Painting from 4-6 p.m. There will also be coloring pages available all day!!

Please come and enjoy the bookfair. It does not cost extra to mention Steller at checkout at the store or in the café. The Steller Spain Club students really appreciate your support. Happy Holidays!!

Participation is simple. Simply click here to download and print these vouchers and share them with your friends and family, then come to Barnes and Noble on the 2nd. Present your voucher when you make a purchase and Steller Spain Trip earns a percentage of that purchase. We are not allowed to hand out vouchers at the store so remember to print yours ahead of time and bring them with you.

To date we have received 25 entries for the eScrip Ipod Nano drawing.  That means 1 out of every 4 entrants will be receiving a prize—those are tremendous odds.  The drawing will be held at the Steller Community Meeting next Wednesday, November 14.  That gives students one more week to return their registration/entry forms.  We have almost 100 Steller families registered as eScrip supporters, but only those who have submitted an entry form are eligible for the drawing.  Even those who have registered online must return an entry form to the office prior to the meeting on Nov.14 to have their names entered in the drawing.  Extra copies of the entry form are available in the office, attached to one of 3 hallway posters, or for download from the Steller Parent website.

Keep this in mind when you are out costume shopping for Halloween!

Steller has an account (#601944) with Party and Crafts on International Airport Rd. Anytime someone from the community makes a purchase at Party and Crafts and gives that account number, Steller has a small percentage of the sale amount added to their account. That money is paid by check to Steller on an annual basis.
