High School students in grades 9-12 can register for Third Session Classes at the King Career Center now. Classes are held from 3-5:30 p.m. starting Tuesday, Feb. 26 through May 1. Students can earned an additional .5 credit toward graduation while they learn automotive maintenance, carpentry, early childhood education, culinary arts, photography, welding, criminalistics and so much more. Alaska Railroad Tour Guide Training Program.                                             November 15, 7 PM                                                                                            Historical Depot

Seniors and Juniors, plan now for a well-paying summer job. Attend this informational meeting.  Only 30 students will be selected by application for training. Classes will be held M-Th, 3:30-5:30 p.m., January 28-April 12, 2008 at the King Career Center (students provide their own transportation). After completion 15-20 students will be selected through interviews for paid full-time positions with the Alaska Railroad from the end of the current school year to the beginning of the next school year.  Other candidates will be helped to find summer jobs with the tourism industry.
