The Anchorage Youth Exchange Committee is currently recruiting students from the Anchorage area, who are 15 to 18 years of age, to travel to foreign countries to spend an entire year. They will live in a new cultural experience with Rotary Host Families while attending their schools.

We are looking for applicants that have good character, good academic ability, are self confident, and outgoing. Most importantly, the students must have the ability to accept discipline and be capable of adjusting to new and strange environments and living conditions. In general, we are looking for someone that would make a good ambassador.

The District prefers to send out students in their junior year, but have sent students in their sophomore year. The applicants are selected solely on merit after local and district interviews.

Informational seminars are scheduled for Wednesday, Sept 30th or Thursday, Oct 1st from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. The seminars will be held at Wells Fargo on Northern Lights and C Street in the second floor conference room. At least one parent must accompany the applicant to the seminar.
