Philip’s January Intensive to Sunny Florida!
Key Largo is the destination for my January intensive. We will be traveling to Miami sometime after January 8th where we will tour some local attractions in the Miami area. (The finalized group of travelers will decide the specific agenda for surfing and other tourist activities.) Then we will travel to Key Largo to begin the Institute of Marine Resources Development Foundation (MRDF) on the morning of the 13th and stay until the 20th of January. This intensive covers a wide range of topics, from marine ecology and conservation to the impact that man has on the fragile ecosystems of Florida. Please visit www.mrdf.org for more information about the Foundation and their mission.
Space is very limited! As soon as I have a committed group, I can make travel arrangements and determine a final price.
Here is a sample itinerary for the trip. Right now the cost of the Institute is $810, which includes room and all but two meals once we arrive at the Institute. Other expenses beyond this fee include, but are not limited to, airfare (anywhere from $600 to $900), transportation to Key West and Key Largo, Miami based activities (TBD), and hotel rooms for two nights in Miami. I am trying to arrange this trip for less than $2,000, if possible. I don’t expect it to cost more than $2,300, depending greatly upon the airfare rates for the group.
