How Does Registration Work?
Registration may seem a little confusing at first, but after you’ve done it once or twice, you realize that it’s nothing but a simple feeding frenzy, easily survived by the knowledgeable.
When to Register
The first day of the new quarter is reserved for registration of classes. Two grade levels register at a time, and you will be notified before registration of your time slot. Two hours are set aside for each registration session. The first hour is for choosing your classes and meeting with your counselor, the second hour is for standing in lines to sign up for classes.
These are the usual registration session times:
8:00 am to 10:00 am - Session 1
10:00 am to 12:00 pm - Session 2
12:00 pm to 1:00 pm - Lunch
1:00 pm to 3:00 - Session 3
What you need to register
On registration day, you go to your counselor’s classroom, where you can pick up all the necessary registration forms, and get some help with your schedule from other people. You will need three things to register:
1. Your folder, with your credit count sheet
2. A current course schedule
3. A student schedule form
