I love the murals! How can I paint one?
Chances are when you walked into Steller for the first time the bright murals covering the walls caught your attention. The murals are one way students express their ideas in the school. There is a specific policy to go through if you want to paint a mural of your own.
1. Notify the Op-Group and principal about your mural idea (sketches are good) and where you wish to put your masterpiece. If the mural is to go in a staff member’s room you must have their approval to put it up.
2. Post a detailed model of the mural with the names of the hopeful artists and space for comments in the proposed location for 4 days.
3. Look over all of the suggestions and comments. If the majority are in favor of the mural, notify the principal, and proceed.
4. After you have gotten the approval of the general student body, you may ask for money for materials (paint, brushes and so on) from Op-Group.
BEWARE… If you don’t follow this process Op-Group and the principal will deal with you in a manner they deem fitting. This also goes for people who make unapproved changes to a mural.
What’s your favorite mural? Why?
