What’s Steller’s Graduation Tradition?

Compared to a massive school, like West or East, Steller has a … unique graduation ceremony.  Instead of just marching in class rank to receive the desired diploma, Steller’s graduation has three rituals that have evolved over time.

Ritual 1: The Introduction

Most people get someone to introduce them.  This person could be anyone - from a family member, to a coworker, to a teacher, to a friend.  Since there are 50 people to graduate, it’s best to keep the speeches fairly short - don’t worry, everyone already knows how great you are, and we’re probably not interested in how cute a baby you were.

Ritual 2: The Song

After your intro has been completed, you get to distribute flowers and hugs while listening to your favorite song over the sound system.  The song will have been selected by you at an earlier date - and it doesn’t have to be a song.  You could choose part of a book on tape, a poem, or anything that can be played over a stereo system.  You’ll start your procession at one end of the stage, and weave through the chairs to the other, where you’ll begin ritual 3.

Ritual 3: Your Speech

Your graduation speech is the one chance you have to get everyone captivated by your words - after all, you’re the graduate!  Here’s another place where brevity is a good idea, but don’t rush.  Don’t worry about crying, it happens all the time.
