The SDL Contract
One of the most integral parts of an SDL is the contract, which will be discussed later. In the contract, our Roman-empire-loving friend (who we’ll call Julia) would specify what she wanted to accomplish by the end of the quarter. Eager to learn as much as she could, Julia decide that she would complete 10 papers or projects, as well as doing a presentatin to the SDL class at the end of the quarter. Her teacher was skeptical, and encouraged Julia to lower her goals, but Julia was determined.
Come mid-quarter, Julia felt overwhelmed. She had completed two excellent papers, as well as a model of the Colosseum, but was worried since since she was two assignments behind. Julia and her teacher met to discuss her goals - which were subsequently lowered to seven papers and projects. Relieved and determined, Julia finished up the quarter.
