Tuesday September 10th 6:00 pm in Ken’s room is the first meeting of Steller Parent Group. Join us to hear about upcoming events, updates from the staff, students, and volunteer needs for the coming year.
Parent Group raises funds and organizes volunteers to support intensives; special projects proposed by students and teachers; and events throughout the school year.
Volunteer needs for this year include the annual fundraising auction; Souper Steller; maintenance of the website, social media, and webportals; and assistance with events throughout the year. We are also in need of a Co-Chair to help organize and run monthly meetings.
Parent Group is also a great place to connect with other families for help in making the most of Steller’s unique opportunities and navigating challenges you may run into. This is a fairly informal group and all are welcome, as are new agenda items or topics of discussion. Decisions are made by vote of everyone present at the meetings. If you would like to add agenda items or have any questions, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Interested in volunteering but unable to attend the meeting? Please email email@example.com, or call or text Co-Chair Ann Mayo-Kiely 907-223-8204.
The meeting runs from 6:00-7:30 in Ken’s room. The doors on the south end of the building will be open. We hope to see you on Tuesday!

It’s great to see the positive things our Steller grads are doing!
This article, from Stanford University, highlights an amazing and important program co-founded by Steller grad Cooper Galvin (PhD Stanford ’19). Read the end of the article to see a shout out to our very own Philip (biological sciences teacher), for inspiring Cooper!
