{"id":11513,"date":"2013-09-18T11:34:34","date_gmt":"2013-09-18T19:34:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.stellerschool712.org\/main\/?p=11513"},"modified":"2013-09-18T11:34:34","modified_gmt":"2013-09-18T19:34:34","slug":"opportunity-to-host-steller-exchange-student-for-second-semester","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stellerschool712.org\/main\/opportunity-to-host-steller-exchange-student-for-second-semester\/","title":{"rendered":"Opportunity to Host Steller Exchange Student for Second Semester"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are seeking a host family for 4-5 months starting in January for Kareem Risha from Palestine. \u00c2\u00a0He is at Steller through \u00c2\u00a0the PAX exchange program, funded by the US State Department, to allow kids from Moslem countries to experience life in America. \u00c2\u00a0He is a smart and polite and has adjusted amazingly well to life in Alaska. \u00c2\u00a0His English is excellent, \u00c2\u00a0he plays soccer and wants to try everything he can \u00c2\u00a0during his stay here. \u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0He plays with the West Tennis team and wants to ski on the ski team. \u00c2\u00a0We have committed to host him through mid January and for the second half of his stay would be flexible in hosting him when his new family is vacationing or otherwise in need of help. \u00c2\u00a0Kareem is the seventh student we have hosted and have had a good experience each time.
