{"id":15754,"date":"2017-10-26T14:45:23","date_gmt":"2017-10-26T23:45:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.stellerschool712.org\/main\/?p=15754"},"modified":"2017-11-07T19:45:10","modified_gmt":"2017-11-08T04:45:10","slug":"ansep-middle-school-academy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stellerschool712.org\/main\/ansep-middle-school-academy\/","title":{"rendered":"ANSEP Middle School Academy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ASD and the Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program (ANSEP) are offering the opportunity for students to attend the Middle School Academy at UAA this January.<\/p>\n<p>WHO:&nbsp; &nbsp;Students currently in grade 6, 7 or 8, who:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; *&nbsp; &nbsp;Are interested in science and mathematics<br \/>\n&nbsp; *&nbsp; &nbsp;Are on track (or have the ability to get on-track) to complete Algebra 1 before entering high school<br \/>\n&nbsp; *&nbsp; &nbsp;Have passing scores on the state&#8217;s standardized science and mathematics tests<br \/>\n&nbsp; *&nbsp; &nbsp;Have at least a B average in science and mathematics courses<br \/>\nWHEN:&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong><span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_536948401\"><span class=\"aQJ\">January 16-27, 2018<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>WHERE:&nbsp; The Academy will be held on the UAA campus and hosted by the ANSEP. Students will be housed on the UAA campus; it is mandatory for all participants to stay in the provided housing for the duration of the Academy.<\/p>\n<p>HOW:&nbsp; Students must complete an application and return it to the Title VI Indian Education office by&nbsp;<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_536948402\"><span class=\"aQJ\">5:00 p.m. on <strong>November 17, 2017<\/strong><\/span><\/span>.
