Students will be assessed in the area of science for grades 7-10:<\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00b7     Thursday, April 2 &#8211; Science Standard Base Assessment [SBA]<\/p>\n<p>Students in grades 7-9th will be taking the SBA and the 10th grade students will be taking the combined HSGQE\/SBA.  In addition any juniors or seniors that have not passed the HSGQE will have an opportunity to retake it between April 7th and 9th.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00b7     Tuesday,      April 7th &#8211;       Reading<\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00b7     Wednesday, April 8th &#8211; Writing<\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00b7     Thursday,    April 9th &#8211;     Math<\/p>\n<p><strong>Spring Intensives<\/strong> course selections have been narrowed to one\/two selections per teacher.  Below are the offerings thus far:<\/p>\n<p>Intensives offerings<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Philip\/Bob:  UK Trip<\/li>\n<li>Troy:  Bball<\/li>\n<li>Nina:  BWPhoto\/Orienteering<\/li>\n<li>Gerald: Geocaching<\/li>\n<li>Larry: Computers<\/li>\n<li>Michelle: Quilting\/Scrapbooking<\/li>\n<li>Frank: Tennis, MyLife<\/li>\n<li>Jen\/Natalie: Global Warming<\/li>\n<li>Toni: Indoor\/Outdoor Sports<\/li>\n<li>Danielle:  Peace Garden\/Write<\/li>\n<li>Ken: Backpacking<\/li>\n<li>Jennifer: Political Dr. Suess<\/li>\n<li>Shannon: Oceanography<\/li>\n<li>Jean: Aviation\/Landscaping<\/li>\n<li>Ray:  First Responders Course<\/li>\n<li>Guest:  Video Production<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Next step:  Ad group needs to add to the list and suggest courses that they would like to see offered.  What classes would kids like to see us do?<\/p>\n<p>March 20, 2009 is the <strong>Friday Night Dance<\/strong>, sponsored by Jen&#8217;s counseling group.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00b7     7 &#8211; 11 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00b7     The theme is the &#8220;green dance&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00b7     More chaperones are needed<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hear Ye!  Hear Ye!  Hear Ye!<\/strong> March 27, 2009 is the evening of the Steller Auction.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00b7     5 &#8211; 9-ish<\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00b7     This year&#8217;s theme is &#8220;Rock n Roll&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00b7     There will be a pot luck as well.
