According to the American Heart Association, the vast majority of cardiac arrests occur outside of the hospital. 70% occur at home and nearly 20% occur in public places like an airport or sporting facility. <strong>Administering immediate CPR can double or even triple a person\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s chance of survival.<\/strong> The life you save is likely to be someone close to you! Take a Moment\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6Save a Life<\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv4058404826MsoNormal\">Be an Active Bystander:<\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv4058404826MsoNormal\">Qualified staff from Alaska Regional Hospital and Airport Fire and<\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv4058404826MsoNormal\">Police will instruct you in the easy process:<\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv4058404826MsoNormal\"><em>1. Call 9-1-1 &amp;<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv4058404826MsoNormal\"><em>2. Perform hands-only CPR<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv4058404826MsoNormal\"><em>3. Use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv4058404826MsoNormal\">Learn\u00c2\u00a0<b>E<\/b>arly\u00c2\u00a0<b>H<\/b>eart\u00c2\u00a0<b>A<\/b>ttack\u00c2\u00a0<b>C<\/b>are:\u00c2\u00a0<b>EHAC\u00c2\u00a0<\/b>education teaches you to recognize the early signs and\u00c2\u00a0symptoms of a heart attack, so you can act before the damage occurs.
