{"id":4025,"date":"2010-03-05T12:46:33","date_gmt":"2010-03-05T20:46:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.stellerschool712.org\/flash\/?p=4025"},"modified":"2010-03-05T12:46:33","modified_gmt":"2010-03-05T20:46:33","slug":"gifted-mentorship-program-0910-information","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stellerschool712.org\/main\/gifted-mentorship-program-0910-information\/","title":{"rendered":"Gifted Mentorship Program 09\/10 Information"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Palatino;\">The Gifted Mentorship Program pairs talented\/gifted juniors and seniors with a mentor in a career field of great interest to the student. \u00c2\u00a0With the help of a coordinator, the mentor and student develop an independent study course based on a college-style internship. \u00c2\u00a0Students receive .5 elective credit and a letter grade for successful participation in the program.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We will be recruiting students at Steller for this year&#8217;s summer school program, as well as next year&#8217;s school program. \u00c2\u00a0Interested current sophomores and juniors are welcome to attend informational meetings to be held at Steller in the library during lunch on Thursday, April 15th in the library\/computer lab. \u00c2\u00a0Ms. Wiley, Steller&#8217;s mentorship coordinator, will review the application process, mentorship requirements, and answer questions about the program at the meeting.
