SENIOR NEWS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hello, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m Dawnmarie Riley, parent of senior student Evan Riley, and I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve volunteered to be the senior parent liaison for information you and your senior will want to know this year.\u00c2\u00a0 It would help if I know who you are and who your student is when you contact me.\u00c2\u00a0 I can be reached at riley.dawnmarie@gmail.com or at 337-0154.<\/p>\n

Several places in town have been advertising senior pictures with specials through September.\u00c2\u00a0 Students who had their pictures taken at school recently by Lifetouch may also use those for the yearbook.\u00c2\u00a0 Nina says there is a packet from Lifetouch or Jostens with information about rings, gowns, etc. and we can send out hardcopies of this as well as other announcements throughout the year.\u00c2\u00a0 A $5.00 donation payable to Class of 2011 \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Postage would be greatly appreciated to help defray the cost of these mailings.<\/p>\n

This first notice includes some highlights of what will be going on, plus ideas students are tossing around as possibilities for the year.<\/p>\n

1st<\/sup> Quarter<\/strong><\/p>\n

October<\/strong> \u00e2\u20ac\u201c An evening dinner\/pot luck as a work session to create senior pages, which are due Oct 31st<\/sup>.\u00c2\u00a0 A half page is free.\u00c2\u00a0 The other half can be purchased and designed by parents and\/or students and can include studio pictures.\u00c2\u00a0 Scanners etc. will be available at this event.<\/p>\n

The possibility of creating a time capsule to be \u00e2\u20ac\u0153planted\u00e2\u20ac\u009d somewhere at Steller.<\/p>\n

4th<\/sup> Quarter<\/strong><\/p>\n

March<\/strong> \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Senior Prom, no theme yet, hosted by juniors.<\/p>\n

April<\/strong> \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Seniors run the Steller Activity Night \u00e2\u20ac\u201c (May or may not have a carnival theme.) Parents will need to support seniors to set up activities like card making, quilting, or any type of workshop they want to host.\u00c2\u00a0 We are the hosts of this event!<\/p>\n

April or May<\/strong> \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Senior Breakfast hosted by 10th<\/sup> grade students and parents.<\/p>\n

May \u00e2\u20ac\u201c <\/strong>Graduation! \u00c2\u00a0It will be held on May 17th<\/sup> at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium.\u00c2\u00a0 Families will receive a letter that shows the order of the graduates.\u00c2\u00a0 There is a three-minute limit, which may be a combination of slide show, speech, etc., but three minutes is the total time allotted per student!<\/p>\n

Nina and Gerald are the Senior Class sponsors.\u00c2\u00a0 They are interested in knowing any questions you might have or information you might need.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
