The focus for Spring conferences will be to review progress this year, goal setting for the rest of this year and next and planning out steps of how to achieve those goals, review credit count sheets and progress towards graduation, and deal with any concerns that students and\/or parents might be having.\u00c2\u00a0 We believe that student involvement in the conferences makes learning active, provides opportunities for students to self-reflect and evaluate their performance, and encourages students to accept responsibility for their learning.<\/p>\n<p>Conferences will be scheduled on Wednesday, February 16th from 12:30 to 3:30 and 4:30 to 7:00. The same schedule will take place on Thursday, the 17th. Students will be dismissed at 11:45 on both days. A twenty-five minute time block will be scheduled with your family in advance for the student-led conferences.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 The advisor will be present to support students and parents during their conference, but the students will be leading the conference.<\/p>\n<p>This quarter we are using the district&#8217;s Student Led Conference Online Scheduler, which allows parents to sign up for conferences online.\u00c2\u00a0 Her is how to do this:<br \/>\n1.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Go to\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/webmail.asdk12.org\/owa\/redir.aspx?C=210cc661d1ac433cbc191ac8966f7345&amp;URL=http%3a%2f%2fwww.asdk12.org%2fConferenceScheduling%2fStudentScheduleStartExt.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.asdk12.org\/ConferenceScheduling\/StudentScheduleStartExt.asp<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/webmail.asdk12.org\/owa\/redir.aspx?C=210cc661d1ac433cbc191ac8966f7345&amp;URL=http%3a%2f%2fwww.asdk12.org%2fConferenceScheduling%2fStudentScheduleStartExt.aspx\" target=\"_blank\"><\/a>a.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 This is can be reached by going to the district web page, clicking on Parent conferences on the left, and then on the Middle School conference scheduler.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Choose Steller as the school<br \/>\n3.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Choose 7th grade!\u00c2\u00a0 (In order to work the system, all conferences are scheduled as 7th graders.\u00c2\u00a0 It is the square peg into a round hole thing)<br \/>\n4.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 For Team Name, choose your student&#8217;s ADVISOR (Conferences will be with the advisor, if you want to meet with classroom teachers, you will need to schedule a meeting outside of the conference dates.\u00c2\u00a0 Your student&#8217;s advisor will have forms to request meetings.)<br \/>\n5.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Choose your day<br \/>\n6.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Choose your time and continue through the process.\u00c2\u00a0 You can sign up to receive a reminder email.
