There are only 60 spaces, total, available for campers&#8230;.and they want to fill every one with children and teens who are grieving the loss by death (recent or not-so-recent) of a special person in their lives. Here are several good reasons why the camp can help with their healing, and bring them the opportunity for a happy and healthy life:<\/p>\n<p>-\u00c2\u00a0 grief activities to promote memory-making and understanding of personal resources to help them with their grief<br \/>\n-\u00c2\u00a0 peer support to normalize their grief process<br \/>\n-\u00c2\u00a0 trained volunteers and professional staff<\/p>\n<p>Also, please note:<\/p>\n<p>-\u00c2\u00a0 no charge to families!<br \/>\n-\u00c2\u00a0 no school is missed (it&#8217;s a weekend camp)<\/p>\n<p>Note: Camp Erin will take place at Birchwood Camp on the weekend of October 7, 8 and 9, 20ll: although it seems far away, it is not too early for campers to apply!\u00c2\u00a0 Once students return this coming fall, many or most of the camper spots may be taken. \u00c2\u00a0Please apply by the end of this school year!<br \/>\nForget Me Not Grief Program<br \/>\nfor children, teens and the adults who love them<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.stellerschool712.org\/flash\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/2011-CE-Teen.pdf\">Click here for an informational flier.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Camp Erin is an annual weekend camp for grieving children, ages 6-17 yrs.
