{"id":8194,"date":"2012-01-19T10:38:40","date_gmt":"2012-01-19T18:38:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.stellerschool712.org\/flash\/?p=8194"},"modified":"2012-01-19T10:38:40","modified_gmt":"2012-01-19T18:38:40","slug":"terranova-testing-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stellerschool712.org\/main\/terranova-testing-2\/","title":{"rendered":"TerraNova Testing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\"><strong>7<sup>th<\/sup> Grade Students<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>The Terra Nova Assessment is coming up on <\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>Tues, January 31<sup>st<\/sup> and Weds, February 1<sup>st<\/sup> in the Steller MPR Room at 8:30 AM.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00a0For your information the district has published the following information to outline what the Terra Nova is and why we administer it:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>TerraNova<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>The TerraNova is a standardized norm-referenced test used to provide information about students\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 achievement in various areas of the curriculum. When standardized tests are administered, the scores compare your student\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s performance with all other students who took the same test in the national norm group.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The Anchorage School District administers the TerraNova to grades 5 and 7 in accordance with state regulation 4 AAC 06.710. The tests administered are Reading\/Language Arts Part I and II and Mathematics Part I and II.
