FERPA is The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (20 U.S.C. \u00c2\u00a7 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records.<\/div>\n<div>According to ASD Policy Manual 368.4 Accessibility of Records, the student\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s records (transcript) shall be available to the parent or eligible student as defined in section 368(b). An eligiblestudent is a student or former student who has reached the age of 18.<\/div>\n<div>A student under the age of 18 does NOT have the authority to request an official transcript.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0If a student needs an official transcript he or she will need to obtain written approval from their parent\/guardian, including permission to pick them up.<\/div>\n<div>Please remember that Steller does NOT mail transcripts.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0You may provide addresses and we will be happy to prepare the envelopes for you.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Academic transcripts are maintained and released in compliance with FERPA.
