Banned Books Week Read-Out!
In celebration of Banned Books Week 2007, Mayor Mark Begich, Superintendent Carol Comeau, and Rebecca Sheir, host of NPR’s award-winning show “AK,” will join eight Steller students reading passages from their favorite banned books. Please come and show our mayor that Steller’s uniquely indomitable and intrepid school spirit is alive, thriving, and well since he graduated from these hallowed halls!!!
Steller students will individually and publicly read passages from their favorite banned and challenged books along with local celebrities.
Steller is the only school participating, so this is our turn to shine and we would like a great turnout. Don’t miss this opportunity to show your school spirit and hear a book read publicly THAT THE MAN SAYS YOU CANNOT!!!!!
