Teacher appreciation lunches begin again!  Steller teachers are the backbone of Steller Secondary School providing our children with an environment that encourages them to explore and grow.  Show Steller teachers how much we appreciate all they do for Steller students.

Volunteer opportunities exist to participate in monthly appreciation lunches. 

 ·         Decorate the teacher’s lounge for the luncheon.

 ·         Assist in setting up the luncheon and warming up the food.

 ·         Clean up and package the remaining food.

 ·         Supply food for the luncheon once a year with other advisory groups.

Please reply to aksmilez@yahoo.com if you can volunteer for decorating or for assisting with the luncheons.  Teacher appreciation lunches will generally be the third Wednesday of the month.

The auction could still use a little more help.

The solicitation committee is looking for people who would be willing to send letters and make visits to solicit businesses for donations. This is one of the most important pieces of the entire auction.  Please email Lee Waters at lwaters@gci.net if you are interested.

We also still need someone to organize the food portion of the evening.  We will find your volunteers to help and provide the food.  This role does not require a lot of pre-planning and we have plenty of people who can give you guidance.  Email beckinak@gmail.com if you can help us.

Please note the deadline for the $300 Nicaragua trip deposit is next week on Monday, September 30! Also the deadline for applications for travel scholarships for the Spring Intensives is Monday, October 21. Applications are available in the office or from Ken and Chris. Picture retakes are on Friday in the MultiPurpose Room. Anyone who missed the last picture day or would like to retake their picture can pick up an order form in the office. Also – please remember to have your photo taken if you did not receive a student ID card.
