If you’re like most Alaskan’s you step into Fred Meyer for a thing or two often enough so that their rewards program is beneficial to you. Well, guess what, your rewards program can ALSO be beneficial to Steller Secondary! It’s like getting TWO for the price of ONE!! It only takes about 2 minutes to LINK your Fred Meyer rewards card to Steller Secondary and WA-LAH you become a hero 🙂
Please click on the following link to read about the program,https://www.fredmeyer.com/topic/community-rewards-4. On that page is another link that says “Re-enroll or link your Rewards Card now.” Please take a couple of minutes and help the school that your son or daughter attends everyday with this no-hassle, FREE Community Rewards Program. But WAIT, if you share this opportunity with friends, family and anyone else who you know shops at Fred Meyer on a regular basis they can become a hero, too! Please spread the word and let’s take a chunk of the $2.6 million that Fred Meyer donates each year as Community Rewards. THANK YOU!

Ideas for ways to make Steller better? Grant Committee has money!

If you have ideas for ways to make Steller better, Grant Committee has money!
We are one month away from the first Grant Committee meeting. October 17th at 3:00 pm

You could be presenting the idea that changes or helps Steller Secondary for years to come. This fund was established to fund projects that make Steller a better place for the community and to directly benefit all who attend.
Your project, costing $500 or more, must be able to fit into the following categories:
1. Does the project make Steller a better place for most everyone?
2. Does the project increase the visibility of Steller within the larger community?
3. Does the project reflect our values of learning through experience?
4. Will the project directly benefit a large group of people, i.e. an entire class or the whole school?
The Grant Committee is a GREAT way to practice your competitive writing and presentation skills. We take the idea of handing out thousands of dollars seriously so come prepared! Students, parents and staff members alike are welcome to submit proposals no later than THURSDAY, OCTOBER 13th(Grant Committee Documents can be found and submitted to Haley in the office). If you have questions about this process please contact Karen Gillis (karenlgillis@me.com or 907-887-1148).
