II.     Approval of Agenda
III.     Master of Coin’s Report
-Â Â Â Â Â $2290.83
IV.     Old Business

Chelsey gave the original spot for her Sleeping Lady mural to other students. A new location for the mural will be determined later. The funding for the mural ($100) passed 11/0/2
V.     New Business
a)Â Â Â Â Â All School Meeting
David and Wright want to hold an ASM regarding the concerns surrounding the music choices in the lounge, the writing on the table, and any thing else that students want to bring to the meeting. This meeting will maintain a “positive attitude†.
A date for the meeting will be determined later.
-Â Â Â Â Â Passed with no opposition.
b)Â Â Â Â Â Model UN funds request
Whereas Steller students have participated with distinction in the Alaska Model United Nations from its inception,
Whereas Steller has traditionally supported Steller student participation in the AKMUN by covering the costs of all or a portion of the fees,
Whereas the AKMUN provides an excellent opportunity for students to lean the skills of diplomacy, debate, and negotiation,
Let it be resolved that Op Group provide $500.00 to Steller’s delegation to the AKMUN to help cover the fee’s of all the participants. It is also requested that this become a part of Op Group’s annual expenditures.
-Â Â Â Â Â Sent back to advisory groups for a vote.
c)Â Â Â Â Â Money Drive
Whereas Alaska Children’s Services (ACS) is always welcoming donations,
Whereas there has not been any donation drive organized this year,
Whereas Steller is always enthused to help others,
Let it be resolved that Steller host a Money Drive in the month of Feb. from the 7th to the 17th. All proceeds would go to ACS
It will be a competition amongst all advisory groups. The group that raises the most money will get a pizza party from GAPCO.
Also, let it be resolved that Op Group provide $50 to purchase pizza for the winning advisory group.
More Money Drive details will be released closer to the actual dates.
-Â Â Â Â Â Passed with no opposition
d)Â Â Â Â Â Mural Proposal- Anna and Julie
Whereas Steller’s previous murals are flat, painted, and lack dimension,
Whereas this mural will have 3D components and a multitude of colors,
Whereas the mural will encourage earth awareness through recycled materials,
Whereas Harlod has approved the construction of this project,
Therefore, let it be resolved that a 3D sculpture be built in the halls of Steller.
The 3D mural will be built in the location that Chelsey’s Sleeping Lady mural was originally going to be painted. Let it also be resolved that Op Group provide $300 for the creation of the mural. Any extra funds would be returned to Op Group.
-Â Â Â Â Â Sent back to advisory groups for a vote.
e)Â Â Â Â Â Re-establishment of the Mural Committee
Whereas murals are an important part of the Steller community,
Whereas there is a lot of history associated with murals that have been painted,
Whereas there is only so much space in out school to paint murals,
Therefore, let it be resolved that Chelsey reestablish the mural committee. The committee will catalog all murals painted in Steller for students to see, make sure that all rules that apply to painting over old murals are followed correctly, and make sure that all current murals are kept looking nice and refurbished when needed. Younger students are strongly encouraged to join so that the mural committee will continue on in future years. Talk to Chelsey if you have any questions.
-Â Â Â Â Â Passed with no opposition.

Traffic Pattern Reminder
Also, keep in mind that the area near the building has “Intake Ventsâ€, this is where clean air is sucked up and dispersed into all areas of the building. When you idle vehicles in these areas the intake vents suck up the carbon monoxide and disperses that into all areas of the building.
Please do not idle your vehicles when waiting to pick up your child in that it poses a health risk for everyone in the building.
Thank you for your cooperation.
