This is a great time to request a donation from a local business for the Steller Auction. Many retail stores are doing inventory and they may prefer to donate an item rather than to pay inventory tax.  Click here for a donation request letter.

A granola bar distributed in Alaska has been recalled

The state Department of Environmental Conservation says the manufacturer of Health Valley Organic Peanut Crunch, Dutch Apple and Wildberry Chewy Granola Bars is pulling back the product.

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Lovin Oven LLC voluntarily recalled the bars because they have the potential to be contaminated with salmonella.

No illnesses related to the granola bars have been reported.
