There are about 5 thumb drives that have been turned into the office. There are also over flowing barrels of found coats and other items in the lounge.

KCC 3rd Session
Applications are now available. Please see Susan in the office. Session is 1/27 – 4/6. 3:00 – 5:30 pm. There will be a bus picking up students from Steller to take them to KCC. Parents are responsible for arranging transportation home at 5:30.
Report Cards
Zangle had not competed the report cards. Â Steller received them and gave them to students to take home Monday.
Poster and Video Contest
Alaska’s first Department of Labor and Workforce Development Poster and Video Contest
High school students in Alaska can win a one semester academic scholarship (up to 15 academic credits) for tuition at any University of Alaska campus in one of two categories: Â poster and video.
Two scholarships will be awarded to individual winners in each category.
We know you’re creative, how ‘bout showing us! (And there’s that free scholarship money thing).

Create your original 10 X 14 poster or 30-second video that illustrates why safety in the workplace for young workers is everyone’s business.  Ideas include know your workplace rights as a young worker, youth safety in the workplace, safety and health information for the young worker.

Schedule Change
Ad Board & Community Forum switch dates
At their December meeting, the Ad Board voted to swap meeting dates with the All Community Meeting scheduled for January & February. This will allow the students more time to plan their Community Forum.  Ad Board will meet next Thursday, January 21 at 7pm in Ken’s room. The All Community Meeting sponsored by Op Group will be on Thursday, February 18, 7pm in the MPR.
Parent Group
Parent Group meets this Thursday, January 14 at 7:00 pm in Ken’s room.

ACT for Juniors
Saturday administration of the FEB. 6, 2010 ACT Testing for those juniors who signed up is quickly approaching. Â Juniors who completed the ACT registration paperwork will be receiving an ACT Admissions Ticket from ACT through the mail. It will be important that students arrive at their designated ACT test center between 7:45- 8:00 am with their ACT Admissions Ticket AND a photo ID.
