AG Announcements – 4/20/15

Students who did the Costa Rica intensive: We’ll have a brief final meeting this Wednesday at noon.

Tuesday assembly is canceled, so please disregard the op group note about it.

Seniors: Please meet on Tuesday at 12:00 in Leigh Anne’s room. Everyone should attend. We are discussing graduation. We will be picking songs to come in on and end graduation with, discussing chairs, and videos. Please come with appropriate songs for a graduation setting.

Yearbooks have arrived! You can still buy them! $65

Eastern Europe intensive trip!!! There will be a very quick meeting on Wednesday, 29th @noon, Relo 2.

Oregon Shakespeare Intensive folks! Stop by Bob’s room at noon on Wednesday to prepare for the All-Community Meeting happening May 6th. We need to gather photos and plan the presentation portion.

1st Semester Passages students. This is a reminder that you are still expected to share during the All-Community Meeting May 6th. Stop by and talk with your Passages teacher before next Wednesday.

You Are Not Alone, a suicide prevention club will be having an initial meeting Wednesday at noon in Ashley’s room.  Please come to help decide what this club should do/be and to connect with others.

There will be a quick informational meeting on Wednesday at noon in Philips room to talk about a December travel intensive to Thailand. If you are interested in traveling to Thailand next year for the winter intensive please show up and get some details about the trip. We can also discuss travel to other locations depending upon the  interest of the group

Juniors…Wednesday is your last chance to take the SAT for free.  Remember, it is a graduation requirement for everyone to take either the ACT, SAT or Workkeys before the end of their senior year (it won’t be free as a senior).  If you have any questions see John.

Community Bike Day May 6– Can we get 90% ridership?

BikeBike to School Day is May 6

Students and staff will be riding their bikes to celebrate Bike to School Day HERE (http://www.asdk12.org/biketoschoolday) on Wednesday, May 6. Students must wear a helmet to participate and should wear bright clothing. The Municipality of Anchorage’s Safe Routes Web page http://www.muni.org/Departments/works/traffic/Pages/SafeRoutesToSchools.aspx has maps that can help families plan for this event . The Bicycle Shop-Dimond and community organizations are partnering with ASD to provide a free bike safety check and carnival from 3-6 p.m. on Saturday, April 25.
