Steller invites all prospective students and parents to come meet our staff, learn about the varied academic possibilities that Steller offers, take a tour of the building, talk to Steller parents and students and of course…eat ice cream!  

We also invite all current Steller students and parents to come out to welcome prospective families and tell them what you think is great about our school!  We look forward to seeing you all there. 

Advisory Group Notes; 2/2

Steller needs parent and student volunteers for the annual Steller Ice Cream Social for prospective students which will be held Thursday, February 5th, from 6:30 to 8:00pm in the Multi-Purpose Room. We need students to act as escorts for building tours, greeters, and “experts” for various programs and subject areas. Parents are needed to supervise student servers in the kitchen and to assist with serving and to supervise the cleanup. They are also needed to interact with prospective parents about the parent expectations at Steller. Please plan to arrive at 6:15pm and meet in the staff lounge.  This is an easy and fun volunteer opportunity so come and get involved!

• Ski/Snowboard Intensive – There will be a mandatory meeting at lunch on Wednesday Feb 4th in the MPR Room. There are important forms we need to get signed…the kind that if you don’t turn them in you won’t be able to go. If you have any questions see John in the office.
• Free Practice SAT Test, Wednesday Feb 11th in the MPR Room, 2:15 – 5:30. This is a great opportunity to try the test, scores aren’t sent to school and it is really just practice. John can answer any questions.

Alaska Pacific University is interested in Steller students.  Come check out their Early Honors program if you are a junior!

An Open House will be from 9am-1:30pm (check-in from 8am-9am), February 6th, next Friday. We will have a campus tour, mock classes and lunch provided.  An APU van can be arranged to pick students up at Steller if transportation is an issue.
