Steller Families: I am teaching a unit on Refugees during my first and fourth hour global geography classes and am looking for someone who either had parents who were refugees or was a refugee that would be willing to come talk about their experiences. I know that some of the experience might be too painful to talk about, but anything even about coming to the United States would add a local connection to the topic. I am looking for someone to come in during 1st and 4th hours any day during the week of March 26th and April 2nd. Please contact Leigh Anne at bonney_leigh@asdk12.org.

UAA is offering their amazing hockey and sports camp again this summer. This summer they are actually offering 4 weeks of hockey! If your child doesn’t play hockey that is not a problem because they offer a sports camp at the same time without hockey. Here is the information I received from the Nick Walter (primary contact for the camp): Registration is now open for the 2018 Seawolf Sports Camp and UAA Hockey Academy.
