Parent Group Meeting Tonight! 6pm (Tues)

The Parent Group is holding it’s monthly meeting tonight starting promptly at 6:00pm. We will be meeting in Ken’s room at Steller Secondary.  Your participation, your voice, and your vote are all essential to the health and effectiveness of this community group.  Students are always welcome to attend and may wish to bring a proposal, a funding request, or to communicate student ideas or concerns.   In addition, we will be announcing some open officer positions at this meeting, and we welcome your interest in any of these roles.

We hope to see you tonight. Please contact us if you have any questions or comments, stellerparentgroup@gmail.com

Please help – Toy Drive for Foster Students

Zephan has organized a toy drive for foster children. The tree in the front office has tags to attach to unwrapped, new gifts for children who may not receive many or any gifts otherwise. Suggestions are listed for gifts on the tags if you wonder what kids would want.  Registration day would a great time to donate gifts for this cause.

Thanks from Becky for Zephan

REMINDER Youth-led community conversation – Dec. 6

On Wed., Dec. 6 at 7 pm, Alaska Public Media and Out North Contemporary Art House are co-hosting a community conversation facilitated by and featuring young people. It will focus on what young people think needs to happen to build strong, trusting, supportive communities.  Although there will be a panel of guests, it’s a community conversation and the aim is to have most of the input and content come from the audience sharing experiences and asking questions. Attached is a FLYER. Here’s a LINK with more information.

See you Thursday at the All Community Meeting!

This week is an exciting opportunity to hear what’s going on at Steller, look at what’s ahead for our students, and reengage with the Steller Philosophy.
We’ll begin the meeting at 6:00 and would appreciate snack and dessert donations for families to share. Our esteemed band and orchestra, with their many accomplishments, will be poised to play for the community and we’ll get time to visit with the passage students who’ve been hard at work during this 1st semester. Please join us!
