Pi Day Reminder

Pi Day is traditionally on March 14 (3-14), but since that is the first Monday back at school, Steller will be celebrating on Friday, March 18. Anyone who has memorized pi to 10 digits after the decimal point (3.1415926535) will get a free slice of pi(e). There will also be a competition to see who has the most digits of pi memorized. The prize is an awesom pi t-shirt for the winner, and most likely edible pie for the runner-up. Please donate pies! Any type will be accepted gladly. Please bring them to Jen’s room on the morning of Friday the 18.

Steller Blood Drive

Thank you for helping me sponsor Stellers’ first blood drive. We had a total of 30 willing participants and gave 15 pints of blood, which amounts to about 45 lives. Overall, I would say that it was a success and I would like to thank everyone who participated and donated. I was informed that the Blood Bank of Alaska has another slot open at the end of April and could set up a second drive, if there was enough interest.

Thank you for your donations and please give me your feedback,
