Youth-led community conversation – Dec. 6

On Wed., Dec. 6 at 7 pm, Alaska Public Media and Out North Contemporary Art House are co-hosting a community conversation facilitated by and featuring young people. It will focus on what young people think needs to happen to build strong, trusting, supportive communities.  Although there will be a panel of guests, it’s a community conversation and the aim is to have most of the input and content come from the audience sharing experiences and asking questions. Last call for Steller Directory

This is the last call for your family to be listed in the Steller Directory for this school year.   If you’re not aware of the change, we are using a new online directory service called MySchoolAnywhere.  With your computer or an app on your phone, you can search our community by parents name, students name, and faculty, as well as view the school calendar for event information.  Take a moment to make sure you are listed by following the link below and entering your students last name and your primary email address.  We would love to have you in our directory this year.  Your information is kept private, and only our Steller community has access.

AEEF Scholarships Available for Seniors Pursuing an Engineering Degree

Alaska Engineering Education Foundation Scholarships
AEEF, along with the generosity of individual and corporate donors, currently funds the AEEF Scholarship Program. AEEF administers scholarships on behalf of engineering societies and committees including the Alaska Society of Professional Engineers (ASPE), American Society of Civil Engineers, Mat-Su Branch, and Anchorage E-Week. The goal of AEEF is to consistently provide scholarships to support higher education in college engineering and math/sciences programs.

Parent Group Meets Tonight – Tuesday 11/14

The Parent Group is holding it’s monthly meeting tonight starting at 6:00pm. We will be meeting in Ken’s room at Steller Secondary. Key agenda items include: the Steller Auction report, planning for the All Community Meeting, and decisions about organizing an Anchorage-wide winter event. We hope to see you tonight.
