Update for next year- Do we want this tradition to continue? How might we change it? Unfortunately, Alyse is not able to lead Souper Steller next year. So if this is something you’re interested in doing now would be a great time to check in with Alyse and find out more details. This work can be divided among more than one person too! (Many hands make light work) there will be a meeting March 29 at noon for any parent and/or interested in discussing how and if we might organize for next year.
Please contact Alyse.galvin@gmail.com or 884-2299 with questions.

Op Group purchased role play swords for the Medieval intensive and the peer-taught play. Parent Group sponsored the supplies for the art intensive, watercolors for the Medieval intensive, and Peak which is currently being read by the middle school students. Title VII donated The Trap, another title middle school students are reading. South High is lending us Saving Fish from Drowning and Oryx and Crake, both used this year in high school English. I appreciate how the community provides opportunities for students.
Thanks so much,
Becky

It is time! I am hoping your students have told you about the travel intensive happening next winter! As part of the winter intensive for December 2017 Svetlana and Rosa have put together a trip to explore the ecological wonders of both the Galapagos Islands and the Amazon. There is an after school meeting for the Amazon/Galapagos trip this Thursday at 6:00 p.m., March 23rd. It should take about an hour and will be hosted in Rosa’s Relo. This is a parent meeting so anyone that is interested in this intensive should bring their parents as we go into the second phase of registration. If you are excited about penguins, pink river dolphins, school exchanges and snorkeling, bring your parents so we can answer any questions you have!!! If you or your parents cannot attend please contact me at: hohnstein_rosalie@asdk12.org for materials and information.
