American University’s Gap Program offers you an immersive academic experience in Washington, D.C., both in the classroom and through an internship. Nurse News – Holidays and Health Concerns

This time of year often offers an increased number of activities and social situations families experience during the holidays. Additional dangers exist for sufferers of asthma, allergies, and other respiratory problems.

With Thanksgiving, Christmas and Hanukkah come hello hugs and close contact that can help the spread of respiratory viruses. Therefore, if you or your student has a cold, use good judgment about close physical contact and remember that hand washing is the most important means of preventing infection and illnesses. And the new trend is to cough or sneeze completely into your elbow (sleeve), not your hands.

Calling All Theatre Loving High School Juniors – Oregon Shakespeare Festival!

Are you a high school junior going into your senior year? Do you have a passion for theatre and Shakespeare? Every summer, a diverse group of 65 rising seniors are selected to experience two rigorous and exciting weeks of professional theatre.

During the two weeks, you will

  • Live in the dorms of Southern Oregon University
  • Attend all 10 plays in the festival’s repertory
  • Participate in workshops in directing, Shakespeare monologue coaching, sound, lighting and scenic design, theatre administration and more
  • Tune in to forums with OSF artisans
  • Develop relationships with other students across the country

STEM Scholars Program – Gettysburg College

Through a generous grant from the National Science Foundation, Gettysburg is pleased to offer monetary awards to qualified First-Year students who intend to earn a bachelor’s degree in one of the following STEM disciplines: Biology, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Math, and Physics. In selecting members of this cohort, the college will take heightened interest in academically-promising, underrepresented minority, and first-generation students with demonstrated financial need.

The Anchorage Curling Club is offering Junior Curling classes on Saturdays from 10-11:30.   The cost is 75$ for the entire season!
