Scout Day at the Alaska Zoo! – Dec 3

Join the Alaska Zoo for Scout Day on Saturday, December 3rd from 12pm to 3pm and help celebrate Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and American Heritage Girls! The zoo is filled with fun activities including archery, animal encounters, and a scavenger hunt. Crafts and games will get you having fun while working towards badge and patch materials. This event is FREE with paid admission to the zoo, and annual pass use does apply! Registration is not required, so get all your friends together and have a wild time at the Alaska Zoo! .  This is not only a great event for Scouts, but for students (and their families) interested in the outdoors!

Registration for 2nd Semester Classes – Friday, December 9, 2016

Each class will spend a half hour with their advisor and then a half hour registering in the MPR.

Registration times will be as follows:

  • 8:00-9:00 – 8th graders
  • 9:00-10:00 – 7th graders
  • 10:00-11:00 – 12th graders
  • 11:00-12:00 – 11th graders
  • 12:00-12:45 – Lunch
  • 12:45-1:45 – 10th graders
  • 1:45-2:45 – 9th graders

Students are only to be in the building during their registration time. Please make arrangements accordingly. Keep in mind that student IDs are FREE bus passes with the Anchorage People Mover if transportation is needed.

All programs are for rising juniors and seniors in high school. We have a selective admissions process for our pre-college programs and base our decisions on a number of factors, including academic achievement, extracurricular involvement and recommendation letters.

Alaska Railroad Tour Guide Program Thursday 7pm!

Thursday is the open house for the Alaska Railroad Tour Guide Program.  If you know of, or have a high school aged Junior or Senior that is interested in hearing more about the program, please join us.  Open House will be held from 7P-8P here at the Historic Depot.

To all students:

Have you taken classes outside Anchorage School District? If so, please check your transcript to see if the classes are recorded for ASD credits.
If your are missing credits from other schools, please contact the school and request a transcript sent to Steller, and also contact our registrar, Janet, to let her know that grades will be sent to us.
For those of you who are or have been enrolled in college classes (except APU Early Honors), you need to request a transcript from the university and have it sent to Steller.
