Gathering Parent Volunteers for Steller Website

To: Steller Parents
Re: Steller Webpage Updates: Need Volunteers

Dear Parents,

Wouldn’t you like to see an awesome updated Steller webpage?  I know I would.

The Parent Group has formed a committee to address the updates on Steller’s Website.  We are looking for volunteers who can commit for a full school year.  Each person would be responsible for updating a small section of the website.  By doing this, the task will be less burdensome then just a few individuals driving the whole webpage.  Once we have some names, I will setup a meeting so that we can discuss the details and task at hand.  My guess is that if we get enough parents involved, each person would only have to spend a few hours quarterly to make updates.

We need your help.  It’s is students and parents involvement that makes Seller the wonderful community that it is.  If you are interested, please contact Dana Dardis at ddardis@gmail.com

All Community Meeting – Thursday 6pm

We would like to invite all parents, students and staff to Steller’s All Community Meeting, “Different With Purpose,” this Thursday, November 10th at 6:00pm.

Please come and be part of the Steller community as we work together on issues that matter, strengthen our offerings for students and celebrate student learning.

Hear the Latest from leadership- students, parents, staff and principal!! Join the discussions answering questions like – Why did you choose Steller originally? Is that still what keeps you here? Are there positive aspects of Steller to be further developed? Are there aspects of Steller you believe should be reduced or eliminated? How do you want to be involved in making a difference?

Steller has all-community meetings twice a year to maintain a strong sense of Steller community by working together on issues that matter, strengthening our offerings for students and celebrating student learning.

Polar Plunge for Swim Intensive

Steller’s swim intensive has a team for the Polar Plunge that can be located on the Polar Plunge Special Olympics website, Freezing for a Reason.  Swim intensive members chose the team name, Steller Sea Lions.   I, Becky Gerik, am the captain.   Look us up if you want to join the team or donate to a student.  The penny drive has raised over $100 dollars for this cause.  That seed money will be used for a breakfast during intensives for $4 a plate to feed students and staff and raise money to sponsor several of our kids.  Exciting times ahead!
