Bartlett Theatre Group presents BEAST & BEAUTY

Bartlett Theatre Group is pleased to present BEAST & BEAUTY. In this timeless romance based on the classic French fairytale, Beauty gives up her freedom for her father and sisters in order to make their destitute lives more comfortable. Forced to live with the Beast in his castle in order to spare the life of her aging father, Beauty must learn to endure the love of the monster.

Join us on November 3rd – 5th at 7pm to witness the transformation of the BEAST by the BEAUTY who softens his heart. Just as we did last year, we would like to provide a free opportunity once again for school groups for a day show.

The FREE showing of BEAST & BEAUTY will be Friday, Nov. 4th at 11:30 am. As we are offering this one-time day performance for FREE, we ask only that you cover the cost of your transportation to and from the event. The play is approximately 90 minutes long. Also, please remember that no food or beverages are allowed in our theatre, so students should eat lunch prior to arrival.

We will have evening performances on November 3rd – 5th at 7:00 pm, which will be open to the entire community. Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for students.

Please let Janel Walton at Bartlett High School (or Haley at the office) know if you wish to reserve seats. Additionally, if you are interested in having a question and answer session with the actors after the conclusion of the play, please let them know so that they can accommodate your group. Seats are expected to go quickly as this is a FREE opportunity, so respond as quickly as you can. And, thank you again for supporting Bartlett Theatre Group.

Sincerely,
Janel Walton AP Literature, AP Art History, Acting, Theatre
Bartlett High School.

Congratulations, Bella and Sebastien!

Steller students, Bella L and Sebastien L, have been accepted to the 2016 ASAA All-State Band and Orchestra.  Bella, a senior flautist, and Sebastien, a freshman trumpeter, competed, through audition process, among the most talented high school musicians in state, to earn the spots in the prestigious student ensembles.  “For Bella, she has made the All-State Band and Orchestra for four straight years, and that is an accomplishment that only a few high school students may achieve,” said, Mr. Toba, the band director.  “I can not find a word to describe how proud I am of Bella.”  “Sebastien is only a 9th grader, and he has already made BOTH the All-State and Orchestra, which is quite an accomplishment.  He has three more years to even get better with his playing,”  Mr. Toba added.  The All State Band and Orchestra will have a gala concert on Saturday, November 18 in the West High School Auditorium, at 6 p.m.  Admission will be 10 dollars for adults, 5 dollars for students.  Public is invited.
