A Steller band student, Jessie H, entered the Middle School Solo/Ensemble Festival last Friday. Â She is an 8th grade flautist, and her selection for the festival was “March” by Robert Schumann. Â She received the superior rating. Â “This is Jessie’s first opportunity to play a solo for adjudication, ” said Mr. Toba, the band director. Â “She managed the pressure and played well. Â I am so proud of her accomplishment.” Â Jessie would like to thank Gwen Colliander and Megan Webb for being the piano accompanist.

Appointments are encouraged, but not required.
Students attending this College Goal Alaska event at the ACPE Success Center, can take a survey to be entered into a drawing for a $700 scholarship. Limited computers will be available to complete these online applications. Wi-fi internet is available for anyone wanting to bring their own laptop or tablet. To help with the FAFSA application, students and families are encouraged to bring 2015 tax information.
