On this week’s special meeting agenda-We plan to think more broadly about how this body wants to affect the direction of Steller:

• How will this year’s Ad Board act to grow meaningful opportunities for students? A look at the strategic plan, Steller Philosophy and Bylaws that will guide our decision-making.
• How will we disperse the $36,000 state funds given to Steller for lounge and MPR furniture? We will hear reports from groups, an update from the furniture committee, and the flow of funds committee

Seniors: Sweatshirt money for Class of 2015 Sweatshirts is due on Wednesday the 17th along with your Senior page for the yearbook. Sweatshirts are $30 and checks need to made out to Steller Secondary and turned into the office. See the attached order form.

This year Steller is participating in a cultural exchange program with Nelson Island School in Toksook Bay. Five students, along with Leigh Anne, will be chosen to be cultural ambassadors and will spend a week traveling to Toksook and a week hosting students from that school. These students will complete pre-travel activities, travel from March 17th-24th, and then host students from the school when they travel to Anchorage during the first week in May. Any student can apply to this program and there will be an informational meeting on Wednesday at lunch right at 11:45 in Leigh Anne’s room. Applications are due on January 6th to Leigh Anne. We will need at least 6 parent chaperones for each shift, you may volunteer for more than one shift.   You may volunteer by clicking HERE to fill out our form.

Thank you for volunteering to be a part of this exciting event!

Our event is from 6:30pm – 11pm on Friday December 12th at Steller Secondary.

Students only need to be at school during the two hour time slot for their grade listed below.  There are no classes or activities that day other than registration.

Grades will register at the times listed.  Students will meet with their advisors during the first hour and then sign up for classes during the second hour.

12th & 8thgrades: 8-10am

11th & 7thgrades: 10am-12pm

10th & 9thgrades: 1-3pm

Please note that it is cheaper to purchase the Yearbook during this quarter.

Current price is $60. Also, there is no custom personalization allowed by the publisher post December 31st deadline. If students wish to have a name/ special phrase on a cover, icons, or autograph section they must purchase the book this semester.

We also need outside-of-school activities pictures.

Senior portraits and pages due December 17th.
