Steller band students will participate for the Aurora Music Festival at Grace Christian School (12407 Pintail Street), from Thursday, April 12th through Saturday, the 14th. The music festival is for small schools in Alaska. The Steller band students will be playing for either the Honor Band (auditioned) or Mass Band (non-auditioned). They will rehearse in the Thursday evening and Friday all day. In addition, the Steller band will enter a large group adjudication (3:40 Friday), and several students will play solos for adjudications (Kohlby at 11:10; Erica at 11:20; Tatiana at 3:00; and Jessie at 3:10; all on Friday). A final concert will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the south gym on Saturday. Public is invited.
BRING FRESH FRUIT AND VEGGIES THIS WEEK FOR BONNIE’S FRESH* FRUIT AND VEGGIE DRIVE. THE FOOD WILL BE PICKED UP AFTER SCHOOL AND BROUGHT TO CATHOLIC SOCIAL SERVICES. THE ADVISORY THAT BRINGS IN THE MOST FRUIT AND VEGETABLES GETS EXTRA POINTS FOR STELLER OLYMPICS!
*NEXT WEEK WILL BE CANNED FOOD DRIVE.
Save the date for the Steller Activity Evening on Friday the 13th of April. Many activities will be happening at this midnighter event. Pizza will be sold by the slice. Activities chosen by students will be offered in a number of rooms. Travel to Japan will be celebrated through rooms devoted to Japan activities. See you soon.
