AG Announcements – 2/10/14

Interested in joining the New York City and Washington D.C. intensive that will be happening in the Fall? Now is the time to register. Come talk to Leigh Anne for more information. The registration deadline is on the 28th.

There will be an Italy intensive meeting this Tuesday at 6:00 in Jen’s room. I would like to start collecting all the paper work. Also to answer questions you may have. See you on Tuesday February 11th.

Students interested in going on the Costa Rica intensive should attend the informational meeting for parents and students tomorrow evening at 6pm in Danielle and Ashley’s room. We will go over the itinerary, enrollment process, questions, and how to apply for travel scholarships. This is a great opportunity to explore one of the most biologically diverse countries on earth. If you cannot attend the meeting, see Ashley or Danielle for more information.

Reminder:  The parent/student meeting for the Denali Bike Ride is at 6:00pm this Thursday in Mike’s room.  See Jen if you have questions.

Junior class meeting Tuesday.

The Senior Class will meet Tuesday at noon in Ken’s room for an activity night planning session.

Model United Nations delegates will meet on Wednesday at noon in Ken’s room.

Talent show participants!!!  Please come to Relo 1 during lunch on Wednesday so we can write down what technical equipment you need for your performance!  I.E.  Extension cords, amps, speakers etc. It will be a quick meeting 🙂

As well, we are looking for an MC!  If you are interested please come to the Wednesday meeting to show your skills on the microphone!

There will be a brief Italy intensive meeting today at 11:50 in Svetlana’s portable. Get there early and I won’t keep you long. Attendance at all meetings is important.

Sci Fi Dance! Last day to sign in a guest is Tuesday, February 11th. The dance sign-in book will be taken down at 3:30pm. All guests must be an ASD student in good standing.

Shadowing is starting today.  Please check the white boards each day to see if you are scheduled to shadow for that day.  Thank you for your help in promoting Steller!
Please remember to turn in your intent to return forms as soon as possible.

Young People of Achievement Awards Planning Committee:  The Young People of Achievement Awards is an annual awards event honoring the contributions of local youth, ages 16-18, who have overcome significant challenges in their lives and have worked towards fulfilling the mission of the YWCA. The planning committee would assist YWCA staff making the awards special-coordinating entertainment, food, decorations, and more. The planning committee will meet 3-4 times and attend the event on Saturday, May 3rd.

There will be a FAFSA & Financial Aid Presentation tomorrow night from 6:30 – 8:00Pm in the New computer Lab.  If you have any questions about the FAFSA and / or financial aid this will be very helpful.
