There has been an extensive voluntary food recall of frozen organic and traditional fruits and vegetables from CRF Frozen Foods of Pasco, Washington. If you have not already received notification and details, please see below for more information. This recall affects 358 consumer products sold under 42 separate brands (including Costco and Safeway). It is highly suggested to check your freezer items.

The Steller Advisory Board meeting called for Thursday, May 5th at 6:30pm is being rescheduled. Stay tuned for further details. Please contact Karen Gillis (907-887-1148) with any questions.

This Wednesday, the 4th of May, is Bike to School Day. We encourage everyone to hit the trails and bike or walk to school. There will be treats for all Steller students who bike or walk to school. Remember to be safe-bike with others and wear your helmet.

Jason is in need of a few drivers for his hiking intensive. If you can help out, please email him at collins_jason@asdk12.org. The dates/times/locations are as follows:

• May 5, 8:30 AM, drive 3-4 students to East Anchorage (need 3 drivers)
• May 6, 1:30 PM, drive 3-4 students from Bear Valley to Steller (need 1 driver)
• May 12, 8:30 AM, drive 3-4 students to the Flattop parking lot (need 3 drivers)
• May 12, 1:30 PM, drive 3-4 students from Flattop parking lot to Steller (need 2 drivers)
• May 13, 8:30 AM, drive 3-4 students to the base of Bird Ridge on the Seward Hwy. (need 1 driver)
