The Neal O. Thorpe Memorial Scholarship supports Alaskan students with awards of $7,500 a year for up to 5 years (students do not have to reapply, this is a multi-year scholarship)!
Preference is given to Alaska Native and first generation students, but if you have dedicated students applying to one of the 14 universities on this list who don’t quite fit those preferences, they should absolutely still apply. The deadline is 4/28/17 at 5pm!

Qualifications:
* Applicant must be an Alaska resident
* Applicant must be a graduate/soon-to-be graduate of a high school or equivalent program located in Alaska
* Preference is for applicants that are the first in their immediate family to pursue a post-secondary degree, although other students attending eligible universities and colleges may apply (see below)
* Applicant must be accepted and plan to enroll at one of the 14 eligible universities:

· George Fox University – Newberg, OR

· Seattle Pacific University – Seattle, WA
· University of Portland – Portland, OR

· Whitworth University – Spokane, WA
