PSAT for Sophomores and Juniors 10/24/18

Attention all Sophomores and Juniors:

The PSAT/NMSQT is the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The PSAT is a great primer for the SAT, and even the ACT, but it’s more than just a trial run. PSAT scores are used to identify National Merit Scholars and award merit scholarships.

We would like to invite all sophomores and juniors to take the PSAT scheduled for October 24, 2018, at 8:30am in the MPR.  There is a $20 fee for this test.  Please pay online in Zangle/Q Parent Connection, print out a copy of the receipt and then have your student bring the receipt to the office to sign up for the test.  Deadline for signups is 2:00pm Tuesday, September 11, 2018.

Respectfully,
Janet L. Moffatt

Winter Intensive Travel to Italy & Greece

Welcome back! This is a reminder/heads up that we are traveling to Italy & Greece this December for the Winter travel trip. We recently had a student drop out of the trip…. which means we still have a place for you to join us! If you are interested in an AMAZING 10-day trip to Europe please contact Simone (sanders_simone@asdk12.org) or Svetlana (jackson_lana@asdk12.org) as soon as possible for information on how to register. We look forward to hearing from you!

Welcome Back 9th Graders!

We are still missing some of your permission slips for our camping trip to Eklutna. Please bring those to registration on Monday and turn them into the office. Also, a $5 fee must be paid through Parent Connect in Zangle/Q — click on the tab for “Class of 2022 Orientation.” Please do so by Monday.

Remember to bring your gear with you to school on Tuesday morning so that we are ready to head out right at noon. Be sure you pack gear to stay comfortable in rain or shine. Here is the informational packet with more details and the permission form.      EklutnaPermission       EklutnaInfo

Parents of 9th graders! Included is also the form to volunteer as a driver with the Anchorage School District. If you are helping us out as a driver/chaperone, you will need to complete this form and bring your vehicle registration for the vehicle you are driving, your driver’s license, and proof of insurance that shows coverage amounts. See you Tuesday!  Volunteer_Driver_Form
